Through the Looking Glass

part 1 / part 2: by travis knapp-prasek

" Look, I really don't want to wax philosophic, but I will say that if you're alive, you've got to flap your arms and legs, you've got to jump around a lot, you've got to make a lot of noise, because life is the very opposite of death. "

- Mel Brooks

Have you ever had that gut feeling that you just were not meant to do something or be somewhere? It's almost like you know you need to make a change in your life but something is keeping you from doing it. Well I say follow your instincts because those are what will keep you happy. Sure you might mess up along the way, but as long as you learn from your mistakes, I'd say your doing pretty good. And besides, nobody is perfect so don't get too worked up over it. Where am I going with this? I'm not quite sure. I just got back from picking up people all over downtown Raleigh on my Rickshaw. It's the first job where I feel exhausted yet very refreshed at the end of the night. It's also a job where you have to be down to meet people you've never met before and show them a good time. Were all in this together, so why not enjoy it? - travis
