I wonder a lot about how people make it in skating and how others don't. It's almost like some crazy selective process where your pretty lucky to get to that level. That level? There are many paths you can take with skateboarding. Today I realized all my friends in high school quit skating to start a ska punk band. I was too into trying to find spots than jam out but now years later making music is creeping into my lifestyle. Were they onto something sooner? Do they wish they had stuck with skating? Who really cares anyways? We all do what we do to pass the time. A large percentage of the population works then does their passions on the side. Maybe it's just too much of a challenge for a lot of us to mix our passions with business. Maybe I'm just over thinking things. I wish I could post a comment box on these pages so I could get some feedback on whats going through your minds.
The reason this comes up is because I just saw the picture of one of my great friends on the back of Juxtapoz magazine. An art mag. It got me really stoked and proud of him. He deservers every bit of fame and clout hes getting. Putting in work on a skateboard is not an easy feat. This kid left high school too and now hes getting paid to travel the world and just fucking party. His name is Justin Brock. Justins still smoking cigs the last I seen and still shredding. Everyone from NC is hyped on where he is gotten. Just goes to show if you tak ea risk in life, like leaving public school to follow your real passion, you just might end up doing big things.
This has nothing to do with the graffit on the left but this cat Silencer has been crushing SF with styles for miles. Another cat doing shit nobody told him to do, just doing whats in his heart.
