"Lordy dont' leave me all by myself"
Friends. Have you ever loved a girl so much you blow it? I have. There was a girl I loved for so long, talked so greatly about, she skated, did art, didn't smoke or drink and she spent a lot of time alone. Then I blew it by passing her up to somebody else. I did have a girl at the time this other girl came into my life. I guess she was on some level a blessing and we were not meant to be together because of where we were at in life. It's a strange occurance. Looking back, realizing how one of a kind she was. She's still out there in this world. But so are so many other wonderful women. The search for true love. Everybodys quest. It is out there. I know it. I've found it, I've had it.
This photo to the left is an example of a love. Skateboarding, duh. Duh? Yep. Used it. This cat to the left has been skating for years and still shreds in his own style. I took a trip with my sister, this awesome photographer chick Starra and this cat Austin. I made our car take a detour to the Derby park. A fine example of people building some shit and then letting humans take care of it. It's cov ered in graffiti and nobody is there harming one another. It's a living thing, no some stale piece of bread. Graffiti livens up a city. Unfortunately its also tied to gangs, drugs... yadda, yadda yadda.
My mind changes a lot about what to write about. Mark Gonzales, a personal favorite skateboarder. Probably won't ever see him worrying about a lot of shit. He's funny, you can tell he's having fun when he skates, draws, writes poetry, whatever else... Life is all about having fun. It's not about winning, but I think whoever is having the most fun is winning? I am laughing. What the fuck am I talking about? I gave up on high school around 11th grade. I just smoked pot and skateboarded. I liked computer science class until that shit got too deep. I was more into photography and film making. A pretty smart writer girl interviewed me for the newspaper. We had a little fling, then this party chick came a long and I chose the wild chick over the smart chick. In the long run that wasn't a smart move, obviously. The smart chick moved to colorado to live in the mountains and the party chick remains in my hometown still partying... but she's realized there is a bigger world out there.
So if you've read this much I high advise you to go outside and walk the train tracks, go skate, go scream, go bang on a trashcan, go yell, just get away from my writings because well... I don't read most of them but a close family member saves them and I have a stack. I'm only interesting for the fact that I chose the offbeaten path and I like to go really fast on my skateboard. Who woulda thought this piece of wood with wheels could have gaven me so much awesomeness?
